React Job: React Native Engineer, Junior

FCamara Europe is looking for a new talented individual for the position of React Mobile Engineer to join our team in an exciting project in the retail sector. Our customer is a global leader in online retail and is a leader in almost every market where they operate, with huge investments in advanced technology in the areas of commerce, logistics, customer service and analytics.

• The new member of the team will join a squad within a multicultural and multinational team for an US-based fashion company, part of a global digital retail group with a strong presence in the luxury segment. FCamara is supporting the digital development efforts of this company and you may be the one we are looking for to join the team.
• How to monitor and identify issues on apps in production environment
• Mobile best practices (and you are also interested in staying up to date with new standards and practices)
• Data structures
• Working with agile methods

Hard Skill:

• 2+ year in mobile development
• 2+ year in React Native building cross-platform mobile apps
• Producing high quality, secure, performant, and tested Typescript code
• Proven track record of delivering usable and reliable pieces of software
• Being part of development teams running on agile methods (such as Kanban or Scrum)

Soft Skill:

• Getting things done (well done, unit tested and as quick as possible)
• Engaging in every project-related appointment
• Taking part in meetings and in online working sessions with your webcam “always on” (this is a mandatory part of the business)
• Questioning “why” every time you do not have a clear understanding of what you are doing (we do not want coding robots)
• Ensuring you will deliver on every commitment you make (and request assistance in advance if something goes wrong)
• Interacting with technical and business teammates or people from other work groups to get information, documentation, or any kind of resource you need to deliver on your commitment
• Challenge ideas and suggest new approaches on how things are done, designed or built
• Building honest and productive relationships with your teammates, colleagues and with our customer’ team members

Providing technical guidance and mentorship for your peers and colleagues

IT WILL BE NICE (AND IT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT) IF YOU BRING EXPERIENCES IN:

• Online retail, especially in the sneakers, and streetwear
• Working with multicultural / multinational teams

IN THIS PROJECT, YOUR WORKING TIME ZONE WILL BE

• New York/US Atlantic time

YOUR WORKING SITE IN THIS PROJECT WILL BE:

• Your home. Depending on your home location, you will always be welcome to work from our offices in Brazil (São Paulo or Santos) and Portugal (Leiria)

THE WORKING LANGUAGE IN THIS PROJECT WILL BE:

• Portuguese in most of your daily activities
• English (you must be preferably CEFR C1 or, at least CEFR B2) will be necessary for interactions with other team members
